Radio/CD illumination

Hey guys, dumb question, but how do you brighten or dim the illumination on the cd/radio? I have a 2012 taco and my cd/radio is really dim.

 

If the dimmer on the dash to the left of the steering wheel doesn't change it... you can't.
I don't remember if it dims mine or not... I think it does. Check to be sure yours is turned up.

 

Actually, the dimmer does nothing. It doesn't affect the hvac or instruments either. It's like it's not hooked up. I tried it with the lights on too. Last night, my radio would not even illuminate, but now it only illuminates very softly. Is there some way to check the dimmer wiring?

 

If that's the case, it sounds like there is something wrong in the dimmer circuit.

Never had mine apart.

2012 should still be under warranty... make the dealer fix it

 

Actually the illumination on the cd/radio SUX in my 12. THe dimmer switch does control the illumination but not by much. I can barely see mine during the day
