I will restate from the above post. When on a blue tooth call adjust the transmit volume to the lowest setting. It eliminates the buzz. It worked for my truck and my brother's

That only works for Bluetooth not CarPlay

Update, unplugged SOS didn’t work so it’s not that signal getting mixed up. Also took it in for servicing second time for it and they pulled another 2023 off the lot that had the same issue with buzzing and said they can’t fix it since it’s a “normal” occurrence of other trucks in the same year. To me that signifies there’s something wrong in this years build. Calling corporate next week. Will check back in.

When you say turn off, do you mean cancel the subscription or just have it off on the head unit settings? Mines off in the head unit but still buzzes while vehicle is running.

Can anyone with issues verify the software version they are on. Mine is running 1792, the update release in 2022 is 1790, wondering if i should try to install the previous version

My truck is doing the same thing it's a 2023 trd off road . I lowered the transmit volume and it greatly reduced the noise in bluetooth but CarPlay is still an issue. Dealer tried to blame my phone its an iphone14. BS ! Interesting when i was doing my own troubleshooting the problem only occurs when the ignition is on regardless of whether the engine is running and does not occur in accessory mode. with leads me to believe it is being caused by electrical interference.

2021 SR5, no issue at all, works great via Bluetooth or Carplay. I have no other services connected ( SOS etc ).

Yup that’s the exact issue I have. Some kind of electrical interference with the engine. No resolution for me so far corporate and dealership said it’s a normal characteristic of the vehicle other 2023’s on the lot did the same thing. Complain and report it. I’ve disengaged SOS, Wi-Fi and pulled the head unit to inspect no fix. Keep us posted if you figure out anything.

Wanted to add my name to this list. I’ve had it since I bought mine new back in Aug 2022. Wife has a hard time hearing me with the buzzing noise.

It’s a 2022 SR5 with the tech package and I believe was built in Mexico. My phone I’m using is an iPhone12 and I mainly use it plugged in with CarPlay.

I did the transmit volume while using Bluetooth and that fixed the noise. I still have it while using CarPlay though, but only when the truck is running. It wasn’t there when I was using it parked and just using the accessory mode.

My guess is it’s something inside the engine bay that’s interfering.

Does this work using CarPlay? I was able to fix mine with the Bluetooth using the methods posted above but there wasn’t a way to do it while on a call using CarPlay.

Yes this is for CarPlay not sure if it works for bluetooth I don’t use that but I’m sure it does, the transmit volume hack didn’t work for me.

Guys guys guys I have the fix for this.
YOOO All. I have the fix for this. I have a 2023 sr that I did it on and it worked like a charm. The feedback issue is a software settings issue and not a hardware issue.

    1. Turn off your truck.
    2. Turn key to on, but do not actually start the truck. Press down and hold the audio button by the screen and turn the lights on and off 3 times. Now release the audio button and you will be in diagnostic mode.
    3. Select "function check/setting" from the service menu screen.
    4. Select "HF Voice Quality Setting" from the "Function Check/Setting I" screen.
    5. Use the number pad on the screen to type in 2000.

Press the save (I think it said save at the bottom, but do not recall clearly).

Turn off and turn the vehicle on. If you did as noted above there will be a significant improvement of audio quality to the people on the other side of your phone calls.

    Best~

Okay not sure if I believe the above reply since I can’t imagine turning on and off the lights 3 times would do anything but I’ll try.

I have the same issue since I bought the truck. Mine is a 22’ Trail Edition and the callers on the other end say that my voice fades in and out and seems distant at times along with the notorious buzzing sound. I just put in an AirPod every time someone calls which is RIDICULOUS since it should work correctly!

The keys thing is to open the diagnostics mode. You can try to do the other steps without that, but i dont know how you're going to get to that menu.

I had a lotta feeback and my freind would bitch a lot about it, but now only occasionally it has some slight feedback/buzzing. I did it today and i didnt think it would work but it did. Please lmk when it works successfully!! ^^

It really does pull up the menu. Interesting find. But what is the default value it is at. I don’t want to just randomly change it without knowing
