So I have a '12 taco non touch screen radio, it's the basic black screen one and been noticing every once in awhile the display has been cutting out lights and all the info but my music still plays through, it'll cut off then cut back on again, any idea what this may be? A fuse perhaps?? Thanks.

It's an early warning system letting you know it's time to start shopping for a replacement. ;)

Seriously? Damn.. I don't want an aftermarket one, I'd rather shop around for the same radio I currently have, thanks though.

Keep talking it up on here and get to 50 posts..then you can use the BST forum to post a Want to Buy for the stocker. Meantime can't hurt to poke around there and see if one is up for sale.

You can certainly do that. I did with another marquee I had at one time and wanted to retain an OE look/function.

But consider all you will find is used, and you may be setting yourself up for a wash, rinse, repeat cycle.

True, though possible one with little use pops up. The OE unit (not the same kind OP wants) from my truck was removed 9 years ago and stored in a locked cabinet.
