I've been searching but can't find the answer. How can I hear my phone while I'm in it? The factory nav is easier to use them the one in my wife's 4Runner. But I like using my phone as it's easier to plug in all the destinations I need while at the office and just tap as I go. In the mornings I listen to the radio for traffic and news and I can't hear my phone (using any of the maps). Later in the day I'll switch to pandora and then I'll hear it.
iOS if it matters. I have the allow notifications enabled and do not use entune.

You have to switch to Bluetooth under source... Kind of stupid, but you can only listen to one source at a time; i.e. the radio/xm/cd or Bluetooth (Pandora - same source as Bluetooth - your phone).

    Edit:
Not sure about iPhone, but for my Android, I have the option to disable phone media via Bluetooth, so I could disable that, and listen to radio and still have phone speaker working (just not through car speakers).... Would have to re-enable to listen to Pandora.

Go to the settings of the navigation app you use on your phone and look for something along the lines of play Bluetooth as phone call. Then when you are listening to say FM stations, your directions from your phone will override the radio like a phone call.

I'm not seeing an option for that in any of my apps or app settings?

Thanks. Found that option, never noticed it before. I also ended up downloading I heart radio again. I'll see if I remember to turn it on in the mornings when I'm rushing out the door.

Get yourself Waze. Way better map program. Real time police warnings and auto rerouting due to traffic, etc.

I have Waze. I like it and use it while not at work. But for my job, I go to random addresses. It's easier to put all my addresses in notes, then tap and go throughout the day.

    Working on it.
Waze is the cat's PJ's. the alerts make it worth using even without a mapped route.
