My stock radio unit has a mind of its own.. it will turn off and on by itself. I could be setting at a stop light and all of a sudden it just turns off.

Any Ideas before i rip into the dash? I'm hoping its just a loose connection but where is the problem..lol

yes internal radio, no repair or any modifications. I'm prolly just going to put in an aftermarket radio and be done with it but still want my steering wheel controls

There are some good threads on this.
It can be done. Does take some adapter wiring.

Holy shite. My radio went poltergeist yesterday too and just randomly turned itself on. A new recall? :annoyed:

Mine shut off by itself too and sometimes it plays but the display is off... maybe consider an aftermarket too.

I kind of like the stock radio. I'm not too anxious to go ripping into the dash yet. I pulled the fuse and reinstalled it. So far so good. I'll play it by ear so to speak.
