Who had left the engine running for way too long by accident? about a month ago I came upon a 4 door subaru parked near my house idling. Then start messing with my bike in the garage for 10-15m, rode around, still idling. kept messing with the bike, finally saw some other neighbors and asked about it. Then I just opened the door and turned it off. Would you be mad at me if i did this to your vehicle?

I opened a coworkers car with my fob once so it's possible someone's fob started it.

Yes. I had installed a remote start in my truck. I started my truck and his trunk popped open.

Where at in the bed? I tested this today and by the tailgate it will not work. I didn't move them up toward the cab to see how close they need to be, but it will not unlock if the fob is right by the tailgate with gate closed and bed cover closed.

They were in my gym bag right at the tailgate.
I was actually quite surprised by this.
I do not have the P&L yet and the tailgate wasn't locked so no issues.
    Side note:
In my Mazda the vehicle has a sensor that beeps if you put the keys in the hatch/trunk.

Really just need a wedge pump, a rubber wedge unless you have crack head arms, and a 58" reach tool.

Is there any settings to keep the doors from locking with the key inside the cab on a non fob SR5?

Air wedge and a flex rod, I can get in any car with out tint in 15seconds. Did lock outs for a tow company for a few years.

Rubber wedge mar up the paint and will damage metal if you pry too hard. The air wedge is the go to tool.
