    Worse comes to worse I'll limp it home. My mechanic back home seems to thinks it's probably a hydrolic issue since my truck will stay in gear while I'm driving.

    Is it leaking fluid? The slave cylinder went out on my previous 1rst gen. It was leaking around the boot where the actuator shaft comes out. The black rubber boot in the photo.

    That may be best, troubleshooting and part swapping can be two different beast especially without access to a lift and familiarity with a taco manual tranny. Hope you get it all sorted.
