It might be a better spot for the emissions pump.

So I finally got a reply from KN filter.

The brackets to relocate the pump are $40 shipped.

    Holy smokes!

I went ahead and took one for the team.

I will post these when I receive them in case anyone wants to make their own.

Well if you make good money you should start paying 10% of the bill for all the group buys you start

Cant believe I missed all this going on, I've been wanting a second battery in the location for a while. What size battery is the mount made for? will a 31m fit. Could the top bracket be made for a spod vs bussman.

    keep up the good work!

It fits an Optima 27. I tried to get a 31 to fit but the posts end up hitting the hood. It's better than the 34s that are more common in dual swaps.

I don't have any that fit the sPOD but it could probably me modified to work. I don't know how big one of those is, but space is tight.

Let me know if they are interested! They will never be this cheap again.

So I finally relocated my smog pump using the brackets provided by K&N..

I figured that if I relocated the smog pump, I had to elongate the wiring.

Which side should I elongate? the end female end or the male end at the pump?

the female end had weird wire colors:

The male end at the smog pump had simple colors: red, black and two small white wires.. easy wire colors to buy at NAPA:

    Here goes the surgery:

    Soldering and shrink tubing:

    Finished product:

Then I decided to plug it in and make sure it worked:

Once operation was confirmed, I removed the cover:

    Installed the k&N brackets:

Set the smog pump at its new location:

    Installed the cover back on:

Routed extended wiring behind the windshield wiper fluid reservoir:

Plugged over the air box tube:

Trimmed the hose that connects to the smog pump:

    Final pictures:

Does not stick above engine bay compartment:
