So I picked up a battery tray from @Iggy. a few weeks ago. @Iggy. and I are working on a battery tray for a dual battery setup. This is still preliminary, therefore any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Any ideas gathered from here could be incorporated in a final battery tray setup.

Let's see where this goes, shall we?

Finally going to get it setup.

This is what I received in the mail:

Battery tray along with a bracket to hold a busman fuse/relay box!

    So here goes the experimentation:

The battery tray is designed to go over the fenderwell on the passenger side of the second gen taco.
One problem. I have this pesky emissions pump.

    We must relocate this.

So my initial intensions is to relocate the pump here in the area where the steering fluid reservoir sits at:

Let's start by removing this sucker:

If I relocate the pump, I will need to extend the hose and extend the wiring connections:

    Removing the pump is easy:

Once it is out of the way, I place the battery tray in the same spot.
This bracket is in the way. Looks like it hold a rubber clamp on these ac lines:

I figured I could flip this clamp the other way to avoid it hitting the battery tray:

    removed clamp

    flipped it the other way:

I also had to flip the bracket the other way.

Fitting the tray in, it bolts down in three locations. Two of them are here:

According to @Iggy. those screws popping thru must be cut off. I will leave them in for now.

I had to remove the bolt holding that side of the air intake assembly and slide the tray under it.

I noticed this to be too close to the tray, so I figured I could flip the clamp and flip the bracket to lower it down and away from the busman holder bracket.

I removed the tape and removed the nuts on the bracket to flip it:

    Flipped:

So I need to relocate this bracket. Probably mount it against the firewall away from the battery and battery tray:

    Mounted my @Yotamac bussman box:

    Looks clean huh?

    So far so good.

So now that I removed the emissions pump and plan to place it in the area of the steering pump reservoir, I need to find a place to relocate the steering pump reservoir.

    Reservoir removed:

Removed the reservoir from its bracket:

If I place the emissions pump in the spot where the steering pump reservoir is at, where would we put the reservoir at?

It is just a question of extending the hoses and coming up with a bracket to mount it on..maybe mock up this holder part and bolt it somewhere else?

Could we incorporate the holder part of the reservoir stand to the emissions pump stand?

    ideas please..

    EDIT -

    final solution here and onwards:

If it feels like you shouldn't be doing it, then it's going to feel great.
