Ramsey Patriot 9500

Was just given this winch. It’s used and missing controller and fairlead, but I can get those. It has synthetic rope and a factor55 thimble. Is there a way to change the thimble...noticed that there’s not a lot of love for factor55. Is this a good winch? Only experience with winches is the smittybilt on my TJ and I’ve used it once to pull out t-posts.

 

Can’t speak to Ramsey winches but Factor 55 is great stuff. People complain about the prices but I don’t think that anyone who actually has the products has anything negative to say. I use their ultra hook and fairlead on my Tacoma.

 

That's a solid winch model that's been around for a while. That an awesome thing to just be given. Lucky you.
