OP is looking for some kind of miracle cure for this when the real answer is something more along the terms like “just driving.” He doesn't like that answer so were all liars and comedians. Smh

Hot pressure washer will take care of it quickly.

Not new here, just irritated as fu.. I think it’s latex paint, it came off the body of my truck easily with a wet micro fiber cloth and muscle. The tires are another story. Been scrubbing at them with a brush and pressure washer for hours. Was just hoping on some advice on some type of cleaner or thinner that would be safe on my tires.

I would still stay away from thinners of any kind, but its your choice. Maybe some kind of thick bristle nylon brush? Metal brushes will destroy the rubber.

Literally a week ago, I had brand new leaf packs, upper control arms, springs, shocks, full size spare, all installed and covered in paint splatter. Sorry if I’m pissed off. I wanted to spend the day laying at the beach with my chick, not scrubbing my truck.

Dude, if your worried over your truck when you have a girl to be with, you've gotta evaluate your priorities. But seriously, we know your upset. But rubber will wear over time and flake off before you know it. Dont think so much into it. Go be with your chick and drive.

Anything that melts the paint off easy is also going to degrade the tire. Otherwise detailers use all purpose cleaners (APC) to clean tires. The ones from detailing brands can be used undiluted safely on rubber. Something like Purple Power or Super Clean undiluted is a little too strong for tires if used regularly. For a one time use you may be fine undiluted but you'll need a stiff brush and get to scrubbing.

I second the just drive method.

I would add that you could air down to maybe 20- 25 psi depending on what you are comfortable with. This will make the rubber flex way more as you drive. I would be amazed if it lasted long after that. Just stick to local roads, no highway speeds.

Get home wash it once more if you want, and then after the tires have cooled down a bit air back up to your normal psi. Good to go.

Google “black tire paint”. They make paint specifically for tires. It might be a quick easy fix. Disclaimer: I have no experience with said paint.

After filtering through all the BS in your thread use a clay bar on your paint and fenders and Xylene on your tire. Xylene can be found at home depot in the paint department or any paint supply store. Done and done. Oh and Xylene is also clearcoat safe so no worries if using it on your paint

I really hope for the sake of your paint job you didn’t scrub the paint off and you buffed it off.

Tires will clean up over time. I like the pressure washer idea. I wouldn’t use any chemicals to remove as if you get it on your paint it could do harn or stain your rubber.

It should wear off over time.

I used water, micro fiber towel, clay bar, and detailing spray.

If it’s water based latex really hot water and a good scrub brush should remove it. If it’s oil based is try mineral spirits and a scrub brush then wash with soap and water when done.

Same happen to me a few weeks ago with either white paint or caulk on my MGM. It was on the passenger side and didn't notice it until the next day. Got all of it off the paint except for a few spots near the bottom of door where it has the coating and I keep taking more off every time I wash it. I looked at the tires and was like :angrygirl:. After driving it around and taking it off road I only have a bit of paint left between the threads, but you have to look for it to see it. Like others have said the paint will eventually come off the tires. Hope this helps you feel better
