    Best of luck.

Not going to do the gofundme thing. I'm definitely going to try and fight this thought. I'm going to do it right. Pictures, Witnesses, Paperwork, Receipts.. I think I have a good shot.

Hahahaha I'll revive this thread once I submit the claim to the court and then again if I win or not. It'll be a while before anything happens I'm sure.

get a picture of the stake with more background context so it is easy to
tell it is at the location and not just some random lawn

actually, nevermind... the police paperwork covers that

also, keep checking the area [if it is close enough]. they may yoink it and act
like it was never there, and if they do they basically admit guilt at a different level

Chances are they will settle with you once they see you have initiated a claim with the court. I can't imagine it is worth their time over a single tire.

Well that'll be tough since it's an hour and 15 minutes away and I don't plan on going there anytime soon.

Sub'd to see if they pay.

The opportunity cost of this would have me shopping online for new rubber.

Tire rack is the only place I can find the Toyo A30 (stock Sport tire). 166 bucks a pop.

Me personally time is money, and I don't have time for bullshit. While this sucks I would have already bought a new tire and moved on with my life. Not worth the stress and aggravation for that low of an amount and to wait and have possible court dates etc etc to possibly still lose.Your all ready throwing $25 For the application and your time, me personally simply not worth it.

You're lucky. Mine would have cost me almost $300. If it was my other truck it would be $425.

I would have clicked purchase instead of creating this thread.

Still curious to see if they pay.

For me it's not about losing time/money. Basically for me I'm buying the new tire and having it mounted and balanced and the extra $25 bucks is a (Good) possibility of me getting refunded all of that. The cop that was there and witnessed me running over it even said I should be compensated.

Well, I wasn't really pissed. The only thing I was annoyed with is that I had to change a tire in the pouring rain just an hour or so before going into the stadium for day three of Rock on the Range. I wanted to get my spare on quickly so I wouldn't have to worry about it after the show. It didn't take long luckily and I had help from friends. The cop that saw it happen even offered help and I told him no thanks but appreciated the though and he wrote up an incident report without me even asking. I think I have a really good shot at winning this case.

Missed driving a fun quick car. I'll linger around. The forum is always entertaining and I'm sure in a few years I'll be back in a Taco. We'll see.
