I'm confused, are we dealing with a 3rd Gen or the 2nd Gen?

2 gen but the 3 gen also has the same fuse. I was just wondering if the ETCS does self test like the other fuses of fuel pump. I’ve heard INJ doesn’t do those self test but 2 gen doesn’t have that INJ fuse so I’m just asking if a ETCS fuse does that self fuel injector test since it’s also a fuel injector fuse.

It's NOT an injector test, it's a leak detection pump test. (SMOG related)
On the 2nd Gen the related fuse is this; upload_2022-7-4_20-21-52.jpgwhich if tied into you get the added circuit turning on while engine is off.

Good info for the Raptor Lights connection to fuse box. At least, reminder to research before moving forward with install.

So does the ETCS fuse not do those self test while engine off? I’m new to these stuff sorry for the questions. But I’ve also heard it’s not safe to put the add a fuse to that fuse because it’s something important. I might put the add a fuse to the low beam fuse or… actually…

I could connect it into the tail fuse inside the cab fuse since it powers the markers lights. I don’t wanna tap on wires I prefer add-a-fuse.

Not a good source anyway since it's a hot fuse (always ON)

The spot next to the TAIL circuit fuse is in parallel with it. You can use that location, leave bottom slot of add a fuse empty.

    Wire of add-a-fuse goes UP...

so that empty fuse slot can be a source to power those raptor grill lights? So then In the add a fuse only one fuse will be there (the top). By wire of add a fuse goes up you talking about the orientation right

    Last question :boink:
Do you know how to extend wire ? I believe I get more wire same size as the wires that need more wires added. I splice them and then I twist the new wire to the old wire together to extend them and solder them. Just like that? Seems easy.

also I haven’t found a dang video or on google on how to use this pluggable add a fuse. I believe you shove it in and then cramp the middle part only not the ends?

No crimping, they are a push connection only.

    Hi All
Just received my set of “raptor lights” formy TRD Pro 2019,and with an ohm meter and simple electrical circuit drawing this is what I have come up with…after testingout the add a fuse harness it has 2 pins that are the same as a regular fuse, so you pull out the fuse of choice(function)and you install that existing fuse onto the add a fuse holder on the bottom of myparticular device.
The fuse inline with the wire to your add-on accessory is the fuse for that accessory.
BUT the add a fuse looks like this circuit that I will attach here.
All is good or is it?
Well depending on the way you insert the add a fuse device two things can happen.
On the one way of installing it all is straight forward ,the other way you are now adding the load of your accessory onto the original function fuse.
Not saying it’s not going to work Butdepending on the size of load of youraccessory this can be a problem.
The LED raptor light kit for the most part is low current draw,so you may be ok.
The situation that can happen here is there may be a fault on your raptor light that can potentially blow your fuse of the original function or possibly some otherissue before the new accessory fuse blows because you are now adding the 2 loadson to the original fuse.
So check with a meter set on to DC Volts which pin on the fuse panel is the source (the feed) and which is the load.
If you are going to use the fuse for your INJ[IMG]then this could be a problem and can leave you stranded.
If you can Not switch around the add a fuse device, you may want to consideranother option.
A little long winded I know!! But you can argue with me but you can’t argue with electricity.
