Your door panel reminds me of a friend’s GSP who chewed through both front seatbelts in their Escalade while they went into a gas station to use the restroom and grab a snack.

Great looking truck, almost bought cement, ended up with white instead. Our GSP is two and a half and she is the best dog we’ve ever had. Great dogs, but WOW they have a lot of energy. She makes us laugh every day and keeps us on our toes!

Hey! Were you on 3SI back then?
I had a really nice TT Stealth that sometimes I miss. I put a lot of work and money into that car.

Thank you I do like it. I ended up with the magnetic gray metallic exterior on top of the hickory interior. For my needs, I’ve always had a 4x4 vehicle that is comfortable all the way around especially on the inside. I really like the look of the TRD off roads but I can’t justify the extra features (as cool as they are) when compared to what I’ve needed traditionally. And I didn’t want black leather in the West Texas sun.

I have cousin-dog of yours - a Vizsla. I am thinking a GSP is my next pup when the rainbow-bridge has to be crossed by she or my other pup (beagle-thing, mixed with godknowswhat). My V gets destructive mostly when she has anxiety from being cut-off from her family. She's nearly 8. Was your GSP (sorry if I missed the story) locked alone in the truck? My point is -it may not be an age thing. And IF the V and the GSP are similar in this way, most people think my spazzy Vizsla is about 2. The sugar on her face betrays her middle-aged-ness, but when she gets the zoomies it's pretty crazy. Like a 2LT on a LandNav course, she goes nuts and runs literally all over the map.

Great looking truck. Good mods. Great dogs. Good dont-give-a-shit attitude, without getting butt-hurt, to whomever doesn't like your choices.

    :)

Impressive! I would love to pick up a raptor either 1st gen or 2nd. They are just so highly priced even for a gen 1 higher mileage (at least in my area). Congrats though!

    I had two of them. A red 92 SL and a silver 92 VR-4. I was on 3SI from 2001 to 2006.

I was a broke college kid. So I only had stereo and wheels. Not a ton of money, but a lot for me at the time. I really identified with that car back then.

I will just submit that I don't really see the difference in this guy buying a 40K Ford and dropping 10K in mods to it, is any different than many in this forum that have bought vehicles in that price range, and from what I have witnessed, easily dropped 10k for mods to their Taco. I don't have a dog in this fight, just sounds a little hypocritical.

@ThatGuyJake can you compare and contrast the on-road driving experience between the Taco and Raptor?

I have an 18 OR and continue to consider going to a Raptor for the power and 10sp trans.

Nice truck! The first thing I bought with my deployment money was a sport bike. Buy/build/do what makes you happy. Don't feel the need to explain or justify yourself to random turds on the internet. Pretty sure an 18c isn't joe private who needs their hand held when making financial decisions.

Welcome back home. I hope you're staying awhile.

Have you not noticed? This is what TW D-bags do...

"I can't afford it, I am going to bash the guy that can" or "I know a way better way to manage YOUR money" lol At least it is entertaining to watch the idiots frolic about on posts like this.

To the OP, nice build, keep it up. The Ignore button is going to be your friend...

I have a GSP and he doesn't chew at all. Hopefully he grows out of it. Yes he doesn't have a docked tail.

Nice truck OP, glad you are apart of the Taco community now! Can't wait to see how the truck progresses, thinking of any steel bumpers yet?
