Hey guys - getting a rattle from what seems like the rear passenger seatbelt assembly area when I’m going over bumps - it sounds just like the seatbelt assembly components but even if I strap in the seatbelt or use that little clip it doesn’t stop. And of course I could not replicate it with a tech in the truck. Anyone have any idea what that is? It’s not the door trim issue - I had that and fixed it on the other side. It’s another sound.

Nobody even responded to this but I’ll put the solution in here. Taco Rancher Junior solved the mystery rattle!!!!! So, although it SOUNDS like the rear passenger seatbelt assembly it’s actually the latch for the middle/driver side rear seat backs in the CENTER. It’s the middle latch and it’s metal on metal, likely because the spring load on the latch is not tight enough. My son was jumping up and down in the back seat and was able to identify the issue — little genius! As a temporary solution we put a piece of napkin in there and it freaking worked. Will work a permanent solution later! This was such an annoying rattle. I may also ask toyota to fix it but don’t have much hope of that.

Same issue with mine, wrapped some electrical tape around the latch on the passenger side. Still getting a little noise, so I’m going to wrap the middle one today. Hopefully that will eliminate it.

I was thinking electrical tape as well. I slotted in a piece of a napkin and the sound went to nothing. How satisfying !

Cool - I wonder what tape will work best - maybe the fabric will be better and absorb that metal on metal sound better
