No CB here either, I have a couple walkie talkies though. That TiKL app looks kinda cool.

Is there running water at the campsite? Or do we have to bring a few gallons in for drinking cooking etc.?

Rausch Creek allows its members to camp on the property overnight when they visit the park to wheel. Here’s some information about that. Please keep in mind that Rausch Creek is an off-road park first and foremost, camping on the property is a benefit of your membership. There may be some weekends when competitions are being held that camping is restricted to teams and volunteer staff.

We require advance notice about your group’s camping. Once your group decides on a date to visit the park, the group leader should contact Lynn to schedule the visit. We need to know when you’re arriving and whether you have trucks with trailers, RV’s, or are tent camping out of your trail rigs. Information about how to access the property will be given to the group leader who can then coordinate everything with the group.

Groups are allowed to enter the park’s property after hours for purposes of camping in the designated camping area only. Until you have checked-in the following morning to go wheeling, you do not have permission to drive around looking for firewood, to check out the comp course, or enter the trail network.

The camping is primitive. There is no running water. During the camping season, we have a few porta-potties located at the main camping area. You will be expected to clean up your site and pack out all trash, and to leave the campfire ring clean of debris. The tent areas are numbered and the camping rules are posted at each site and at the porta potties. When you check-in the following morning to go wheeling, you will be asked what site you are camping at.

When you enter the driveway, all camping is to the right of the driveway. There are tent sites along the tree lines and some logs laid out on the ground to define the tent area on the far side of the graded lot. Do not drive vehicles past the logs and onto the tent area. Truck/trailers and RV’s should park in the graded lot adjacent to the tent areas. The only authorized campfires are in the designated firerings in the numbered tent areas. No campfires are allowed in the graded lot and the designated firerings should not be modified or moved around.

Anyone observed drinking and driving will permanently lose their membership privileges and their affiliated club will be sanctioned. No alcohol is allowed on the property except for the camping area. Alcohol may be consumed only AFTER you are done wheeling for the day and only in the camping area. Do not walk around the comp course with alcohol. Do not drive around the trails with alcohol in your vehicle, leave it at camp.

Pack in and pack out your trash. Do not leave GLASS, ALUMINUM, or other JUNK in the firepits. Use the established firepits only and do not move them around. If you arrive and find a mess left behind by a previous group, report it to the office so you don’t get blamed for it.

Check-out time is 10 a.m. Prior to 10 a.m. your group should have checked-in at the office to go out wheeling for the day, or your group has checked-out.

Dogs are welcome. Clean-up after them if they make a mess in areas where people will be walking or setting up camp. Dogs should be kept on a leash at all times in the parking/camping areas. EXCEPTION: Dogs are NOT allowed in the competition areas during competitions.

Although we require advance notice about your group’s camping, during most weekends the camping is on a first-come, first-served basis. Driving a full-size truck with trailer, RV or pop-up into an area that is meant for tents is the type of thing we frown upon. So when your group comes to visit, please keep in mind that other groups may be arriving as well and everyone needs to work together to share the space. Occasionally there may be large group events scheduled and you will be informed of that when you schedule your visit.

Groups found to have violated the above camping policy may lose future camping privileges

I'm going to try to make it out Saturday morning for the TW Trail rides. My local 4x4 club (www.bigrubbers4x4.org) is having a Rock Crawling event at Rausch Creek this same weekend, April 9th & 10th
Here's some info taken directly from their website:

    Membership
Rausch Creek Off Road Park is a membership-based facility. There are no pre-requisites or waiting lists. All drivers and passengers must sign a membership application & liability waiver. Drivers and passengers age 16 and up are required to become members of the park which costs $15 per year and is good for one year from the date you join. Membership cards are given out when you join.

Children age 15 and younger are free, however, we require a parental waiver. All members under the age of 18 also require a parental waiver.

The daily entrance fee is $35.00 for the vehicle and driver. Passengers age 16 and up are $7.00 each (When a passenger joins the park, the $5.00 fee is waived that day). We offer free primitive camping for our members.
To speed up your registration and sign-in, please download the documents, fill them out, and bring them with you when you visit our facility. You'll get to go wheeln' sooner! The form requires the following info from BOTH DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS: Name, address, phone number, emergency contact info, driver's license number, vehicle description and license plate. Also, initial (do not check) the four individual waiver paragraphs. We need this information from passengers too.
