Hell ya man!! You'll have to keep us posted as the miles clime. After you posted a good picture of the ball joints and I was able to cross reference them, I'm actually considering them. Maybe sooner rather than later.... Though I am still curious about the 2022 TRD Pro UCA's. I know they'll likely be pricey. But I wonder how much more than the the rest of the aluminum UCA's out there?

Nice! I’m looking at ordering these with the Vertex 3.5 coil overs. How are they holding up?

I just received the 3” RC vertex coilovers. They look and feel amazing right out of the box. I do plan on swapping out my readylift spacers (3/2) with these vertex coil overs in the next few weeks.

I would like to get the RC forged UCAs too but seeing that they say ONLY USE ON A 3.5” lift I’m kinda skeptical. I’m sure whatever I get will be way better than what I have. If you guys think it’ll be ok to run the RC UCAs 3.5” with the 3” RC coilovers??

Rough Country was contacted with that question here, sounds like you’ll be good to go.

I doubt RC makes that control arm so precise that it must be used with a 3.5” lift, let’s be honest here.

If there’s any common sense to their design it just adds some caster angle. My Ironman UCA’s add 4*, I could run that at stock ride height without issues.

There could be other physical clearance problems though. So as long as it’ll physically clear the other components you should be good.

Nice! Glad to hear they are a quality product. Hopefully, they’ll ride and perform as good as they look. Did you get the spanner wrench?

I do plan on getting the spanner wrench. Not quite sure what to do as far as getting the correct height. I was going to match the coilover up with my stock and spacer for a better idea of how much the lift is right out of the box. I read on another thread that it’s difficult to get the spanner wrench in there to adjust when installed. So I would like to get them close otherwise I’ll have to come up with something.

Yeah, I had read that too. I believe he used a punch to get it adjusted. I would probably measure the old and new setup the best you can before installing so it’ll be close.
I like this setup because it adjusts to 3.5”, so it gives you a little extra after settling.

    UPDATE

Installed both RC ucas (3.5”) and RC vertex coilovers (3”).

This lift feels so so much better! and the handling is much stiffer. Before I would go over a slight hump and it would fell like it’s about to bottom out lol now it’s like that hump is barely there. I highly recommend these for a budget build like mine!!

I had the spacer ready lift on there before 3”/2”. From the ground to the fender I was sitting at, passenger side 39” and driver side 38.5”.

Now after install I’m at 40” passenger and 39.5 driver side. Hoping it comes down a bit bc I have a higher rake in the front then back. Back still has block spacer, will add leaf in the future but it’s working for me now.

I’m running 285/70/17s not sure about the off set on the wheels but there’s no rubbing when in drive but a tad bit in reverse, I suspect that it’s the braided coilover line kissing the inner tires.

Got the “clickers” set on 4 right now and out of the box I did no adjusting!

Can you adjust one side to compensate for the lean?

I’m loving them, complete game changer for me. We will see how they hold up. But real solid materials I will say.

Yes they are completely adjustable, I need the spanner wrench (should be sold with them, but it’s not) but I wanna see how much they come down in a month or two before adjusting.

Thought that I would post since it’s been Millenia…since my last. “I wrote my name down perfect and everything, and you still didn’t reply..”

Seen this post, and I had to say something. I’ve had many setups, from Icons, 5100’s, OME, and even went back to stock with a leveling top spacer at one time.

I am all about quality, but I also am about what is economical, how much am I actually wheeling my rig. Good questions to ask yourself. While most of us have had amazing setups, researched for hours, wheel the heck out of their “overland rig”. Prices for suspensions can get pricey; as you all already know.

My point is simply, just do what works best for you, your driving, etc..the most economics brands can often be very reliable. Think about the Toyota truck man who went 1.5 million miles on his Tacoma, with stock suspension. You do not need the best UCA’s if you’re just driving on dirt roads, or around town. Unless you just want to have the coolest, top tier stuff, to just show off to the other Tacoma at Kroger. That’s up to you, whatever you like, more power to you.

I actually own these UCA’s, and the 3” kit, and a newer set of TSB leafs with an add-a-leaf. I have zero complaints, this is not my primary vehicle and I treat it like such, I tow my 22’ toyhauler, I bomb it through the dunes, we haul all kinds of stuff, still goes around turns at 65mph no issue, and can cruise at 85mph no problem. (DFW freeway).

The RC stuff has held up fine for the last 5k hard miles. My TC uniball arms were actually worse and gave me such a headache, and these were cheap from a guy on OfferUp, so why not. I hope they work well for you too, as they have for me. May the Yota gods smile down on you. Enjoy, and give us your feedback when you’re ready.

Kind of wish I had seen these before purchasing others. Interested to know long-term performance and reliability.

497A7845-44D1-4AAC-B446-FC07EA32FE7E.jpg I didn’t have the TC UCA’s to compare with stock and RC. I was swapping them to my buddies truck, and putting these RC’s on mine. The Total Chaos I had were the older version, and I like to try new things. So here are the RC versus the stock.
