    6" fabteck 20" fuel hostage 33" nitto MTs
    I'm new to all this stuff ... I have a 09 Tacoma trd sport double cab .. Will the rcd lift fit my truck ... If so is there any other parts I have to buy for this lift or dose this kit come with everything I need ??? I live in the gettyburge pa area if any close people around with experience one lifting trucks thanks

    Ok what lift should I go with ... I don't no anything about this stuff I get this forum and I get no help at all . I'm not looking to be out off rd or anything like that just want a nice lookn truck ... What lift kit should I buy that will come with everything I need to lift my truck . 3" is what I'm lookn or that rcd lift size .. I don't want 6" so any help would be good ..

    If you are a 4wd and want more than 3" of lift, RCD is the way to go no doubt. I know plenty of people who run offroad with drop bracket lifts and do great. If you are a prerunner, go for a set of camburg spindles instead

    DB's suck for off road. You don't gain ground clearance unless you put 35" on and you still run the risk off smacking the DB on a rock.

    And you don't gain ground clearance with a suspension lift either unless you get bigger tires. Don't tell members (aka Krookz) with db lifts that they can't wheel... every single time you wheel ever anywhere, you run the risk of hooking up on Something out there...

    I have the RCD and have had no issues with it, I would buy the 6" because it's basically the same price and you can easily move up to 35's if you want to down the road. High quality lift kit

    Of course the whole point of lifting is to gain room for larger tires. And I never said that they can't wheel DB. I said they suck for wheeling. I never mention anything about Stan. And I guess you were there when he almost ran a member over because his DB was stuck against a rock. I wasn't but I saw the footage. I did watch three Tacoma's , two with suspension lifts and one with a db. The two suspension lifts made it, but the DB hung up on.....guess what......the DB.

    Okay, there is no denying the fact that suspension lifts are superior as far as offroad applications go. And for the record I really don't want to get into a pissing match with you because that isn't what this is about... for many people, I would say the majority drive their trucks like a truck about once a month when they wheel. For these people a db lift is more than suitable because they can stuff larger tires and reach a little more places than they could before. Day to day they are still able to drive their truck like normal and get the near stock ride as well.

    If you don't offroad much the RCD would probably be a better ride. If you offroad a few times a month I would stay away from a DB lift. RCD makes quality stuff from what I've seen though. :thumbsup:

    And for day to day, a DB is overkill and not cost affective. Bottom line, it's his truck and money.

    Either one is good. It just depends on your budget and your needs, Look through the suspension forums a lot of discussion on a lot of different setups.

    Obviously he doesn't want a 6" guys and he doesn't offroad. So in another word, he is a mall crawler. That being said go with toytec and save yourself the $$. Get their 3" spacer up front and their 3" block for the rear springs :)

    If I could start over I would get an RCD lift instead of my 885 coils and 1/2" spacer to save wear and tear on my front differential and safely get a little more lift

    3" spacers will ride like shit on and off road. 3" block will lead to axle wrap. Poor choice.

    If you are on budget, I would recommend either Bilstein 5100 shocks or OME shocks and springs up front, and an add-a-leaf for the rear.

    Yeah but he clearly states he does not offroad and just wants something to look "nice" and i agree with the 3" blocks..bad choice but cheaper than AAL

    You can get an add a leaf for under $100 from wheelers, toytec, etc. The axle wrap is an on-road issue, not an off-road one.
