Yeah, I shouldve just saved up and got the RCD kit.

But I noticed on your previous Toytec lift Jrobson your cv's looked bad. like you had your coilover cranked up way too high.

But yeah, Im thinking about just switching lifts later on maybe and doing the RCD, bc I dont offroad much, and would like to clear some 295's. We'll see...

Yea, that's the part that's deceiving when people hear an adjustable CO to 3.5 inches. They think they can get a full 3.5" but don't realize they are going to ruin their ride and blow CV boots every other month. As far a clearance goes with a drop bracket, I have 12.5" of clearance to the bottom of my bracket and have had my truck in some pretty deep stuff with no problem what so ever. It's just nice not to hear the typical rubbing sound of a 285-70-17 tire that you will with just about any other so called 3" lift. It's also nice knowing you can clear a legitimate 33-12.5 or larger if you want with NO rubbing. Even at full flex. RCD is the way to go as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Maybe later on, If funds permit I will upgrade to the RCD.

what i want to know is how are bilsteins only offroad friendly? $600's and i got a full set of billys and set it at 2.5 so its an inch high in the front now. i have 32.5s and the lift actually made my turning radius even better so how is that worse then a block and spacer? just wondering

I have the RCD it comes with everything you need... EVERYTHING!

Now you can upgrade parts (such as blocks to leafs) but the RCD kit comes with everything...

The main mechanical benefit of the RCD kit (DB kits in General) is that the CV angles are flat or better than stock. Second, it rides like stock instead of extending the shocks (i.e suspension lifts) Finally, I can safely clear 285s, 305s size tires with no problems.

I think 4.5" is the perfect lift height for these trucks

Now DB lifts have other issues when offroading but purely street and occasional offroad is fine... way better than any spacer lift

Ok guys as you all know I'm new to all this stuff I got my rcd lift today. It calls for a tire size up to a 33/12.50/ and I'm guessing whatever size rims you go .. But it dose say 4.5" backspacing now is that 4" to5" or 4-1/2" backspacing with what I need to know is I'm putting 33/12.50/20 ... 20-10" rims what backspacing
Do I need to order when I order my wheels ..thanks for any help

I'm hoping to get the RCD kit soon and get a leaf pack to replace the blocks. From what I read RCD pretty much seems perfect for me. I do some offroading at the hunting camp but nothing serious. I do have a question for whoever has the RCD. Should I re-gear, and if so...what should I re-gear too? Also...whats the largest size I can run witout rubbing with the RCD? Any drive line vibs from this kit?? Thanks fellas!

You shouldnt need to re-gear, unless you want to try and run 35's. But I think the biggest size possible is a 295, (33.4") as far as dia.
or you can run a 33x12.5 without rubbing.

no need to regear. solus has 305/65/17's i think. i have 285/70/17's. so his tires are a little wider and mine are a little taller. you could run 35's if you wanted to do some trimming and possibly an offroad bumper.

Thanks man. What about 305/70R17? Do you think I would have any rubbing issues with that? Thanks.

i dont know if any one makes that size but i think you might have to do some trimming to if you can find that size.
