I'll keep it in mind! Trying to avoid re working full skids with the jd pivot. Not sure what everyone's doing to accommodate trans/tcase skids

Weld a little tab on the back of the JD skd that attaches to the skids you have. Only thing if you want would be making an angled skid up to the front crossmember area

Make your own skids, the options currently available suck and eat up alot of clearance.

Im not recommending this, but i run without a tcase and trans skid and have only touched my trans pan once.
My plan is to remake the crossmember to achive a flat belly.

Agreed. Front skid and t case skid takes all the abuse. T case skid by nature hangs way low and never had issues not running one in the past with 35's. It's a false sense of security for me! Crawl box is sitting on go whenever I've got time. So already going to be relocating exhaust again...

Why you not running the lower pivot? I am wondering if this would have much benefit with RCLT if all the cams and pivot points have been gusseted.

im just gonna gusset the lower pivots and run some btf (stock length lower arms) wheel hard for a while then sell the lower arms and solid axle swap the truck. The jd lower pivot kit is awesome and if I use it I can’t just cut it off later and it still be guaranteed to be useable.

I did see one install on Instagram using the JD kit and RCLT. Can’t remember where.

The OP installed a JD pivot kit, jd fenders and RCLT on a customer vehicle

Man and he still pushed the arms forward with the lower pivot kit. That's pretty crazy. I would think 1/2 to 0 forward on the pivot kit with the RCLT

    Stock-ish
He had it set in the stock position in those photos, and in the original post here to simulate the stock pivot position.

I hear if you run the Marlin kit with the JD tabs in the full forward position, you can run 44’s without having to cut your cab mount. :)

That’s cuz Marlin invented the 44” tire and pioneered the use of round tires.

I think even all the way back in the jd kit is still 1/4in forward of stock

Now we’re talking, good findings. Should be good with an 8” bump?

The additional caster is nice for higher speed driving, and it will increase approach angle. But this will cause you to rub your headlights even more. It depends on if your steering rubs your coilover, how far forward you can run it.
Ive also had both the marlin gussets and the jd kit, the jd kit braces everything way better, but its also nearly 10x the cost. Your able able to bolt your cams into place.
Im pretty sure the jd skid plate is higher clearance than other skids on the market. And its easier to handle and replace.
The kit isnt for everyone though. Its a pain to remove the diff with it installed and for the marlin kit, its even more difficult to remove the steering rack.

Are those the BTF arms that push the lbj forward like 3/4"?
