I still think part of the issue with the other racks is they dont address steering stops. Factory limits it at the knuckle and transfers some load through the LCA.

That makes sense, since it seems like that would be the primary source of force on the rack. Bumps and what not shouldnt matter because the end links pivot, but extreme force is coming from somewhere, so it must be the constant load of turns plus full lock.

    Build thread coming soon.
After reading this whole thread y'all have unequivocally convinced me to stay with my original plan of going with Dana 60's for the ol'graymare.

I'm just posting to state that this made me laugh out loud and is probably the best thing I've ever read on TW. :)

Is anyone running both RCLT with both a JD fab pivot kit and a tundra rack? I'm running that setup right now with a camburg LT, that I'm happy with, but still curious if I could get an RCLT to fit in the future.

Care to elaborate? I’ve heard the tundra rack might not work with RCLT, but not clear why.

the throw is not the same. LC200 rack is specifically used because the RCLT kit is designed around it.

    No :boink:

    Just kidding.
I suggest you read through Marlins info on the RCLT kit.
Biggest issue you may run into is whether or not it will work with the JD pivot kit.
You might want to get Howe ps pump then gusset the spindle.
Maybe go to the JD fab LT.

Yes, on the truck, I installed this RCLT and also did the JD Fab Pivot. I set the lower arms all the way in the rear position. There really isn't a reason to combine the two and push the lower arms all the way forward—there are adverse side effects in doing so. The main one is that it reduces wheel travel due to CV bind at full drop. When pushing the hub forward without moving the diff forward, there is always a reduction due to CV bind. The only advantage would be stronger pivots for the lower control arms. Which can also be done a number of other ways outside of the JD Fab pivot kit.

Awesome, appreciate the context, I'd seen the same from 1 other person who said they moved their JD fab pivot adjustment all the way back (most + mine now, are set all the way forward to get tires away from the firewall).

Good to know though about the LC200 vs tundra rack differences to @chrisrhere 's point above.

Looks like all-pro is trying to make a kit too and they were also having issues figuring out the right way to go about steering.

As someone who has torn both the LC200 rack and the tundra rack, they are the same except for the third mounting point on the LC200 that doesn't get used anyway.

I'm using the third mounting point on the LC200.
Also did the double shear mounts on the other two mounting points.
Those options came out from Marlin just as I was putting my kit on.
I also added gussets/reinforcement to the lca and upper coil bucket tower.
That tundra rack looks so beefy :militarypress: even compared to the LC200.
I do like that the LC200 doesn't need much modification to work with the RCLT kit.
The RCLT spindle with it's douple sheared tie rod connections is pretty sweet.
