RCLT HD Kit, with a ECGS Dana 60 rear. Anyone do it with a 3rd gen yet?

I’m going to pick up a D60 built by ECGS with an Eaton E locker really soon..

Yes. I’m going down the rabbit hole. From here it seems very deep and dark. Lmao.

I'd be curious as to how many that went RCLT and 40's also upgraded the rear axle.

You won't get a good answer here. The 3rd gen forum is mostly people asking how to use 4HI and what Baja lights to put on their truck.

It's been done plenty of times by 3rd gen owners, though.

You want the LT forum: https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/long-travel-suspension.113/

    And the RCLT thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rclt-hd-2-75-travel-numbers-and-notes.771723/

or LT BS thread specifically: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/long-travel-bs-thread.109317/page-4643

A lot of people tend to do Ford full float 9" over Dana 60s but I'm sure someones done it.

I haven't heard of anyone with a 3rd gen with RCLT and a larger rear axle.
    Seen them in some 4runners.
I'm in a fb RCLT owners group and haven't seen one over there.
Are you going to get some hammer hangers or something for the rear?
If you do, I'd suggest archive garage with the cross brace and as soon as you can do their schock relocation.
    Fuck yeah :p

Fyi, my ECGS Dana 60 came with a ubolt flip kit.
Abs still works along with cruise control.
Got the 40 spline axle and its +5" wms to wms cause my front is +5.5"

If you're doing LT front with a larger axle rear, not going SUA is absolutely throwing IMO. The Archive shock relocation is good for MT setups but once you're LT in the front, the rear is really holding you back.

There's lots of folks running LT front, SUA rear and larger rear axles in the Long Travel BS thread. Maybe not specifically RCLT, though, it's not as popular in the LT forum as it's travel numbers don't live up to other options.

JD's spring under kit is the best if you still stay in the rocks due to not hanging low like a boat anchor, IMO.

But it can be even better! SUA has a lot more travel than the Archive set-up. Totally fine not to do but it barely costs anything extra and you can brace the frame when you do it.

It lets you tune for this:

not a whole lot of people upgrade the rear axles on 3rd gen. I have yet to see or hear anyone grenade a 8.75” rear diff from TRD pro or OR model. I have heard some say bad axle housing but that’s about it. I chose to just truss it.

Main reason to do the D60/F9 is to get a custom width made so your front isn't 5--7" wider than the rear.

If I ever went RCLT, I would do a rear axle swap just so everything is happy.

Fusion 4x4 would be my choice as ABS sensors are kept. Not sure about ECGS but I know JD fab deletes them. Wicked creations makes them too.

Not a 3rd gen but I have a similar setup with my FJ. 72.5" wide ECGS 60 rear (one of the best mods I've done to it) and Dirt King +3.5" LT in the front. All on 39" tires. RCLT wasn't available at the time and I needed to get on the trails so I went DK and never looked back. Made the Rubicon trail look like a cake walk haha and even went up soup bowl.
