nope.the dickhead cop is just mad he was filmed.maybe he should pull out a badge first, not a gun.
cops are allowed to film and record sound.why cant the public for their own safety???? im not total anti-law but i think too many(not all cops)abuse their badge

I don't think the longer video justifies the cops action instantly pulling that gun out, however, it does create the side of the motorcyclist to be more unbelievable that through the news story.

The thing that gets me and this could be wrong because there is no audio but if that was a patrol car behind him when he looks back before stopping at the light then how come you couldn't see any lights to show that he was to be pulled over?

The state police should not have jumped in the way he did and if anything it should of been the patrol officer that was behind the motorcyclist to make first contact. If that was the helmet that he was using when riding then both people should have seen that camera on top of his head as well.

Finally I believe that the motorcyclist deserves what he gets if not maybe a little bit of a lighter punishment. He clearly popped a wheelie and was speeding at one or multiple parts of that video and not only could of harmed himself but created a multi-car accident involving innocent people. As stated in the news video he was ex-military he should of been more aware of what he was doing and what he was getting himself into.

one the police cheif on the news said the cop pulled his gun cuz he was backing his bike up. yeah because the cop pulled up in front of him like a ass hole i woulda been doing the same thing i probly woulda been honking and gave him the big f you too. haha but like the guy above me said when the guy looked back there was no party lights on at all and the undercover had no lights on when he jumped out of his car with his gun i would took off like a mad man if some guy jumped out infront of me sayin get off your bike and had a pistol i would romped the gas. in all sence i think the cop is just pissed and trying to cover his own ass for that with the bs law like that i wana see the state trole's video from his dash cam! the marked one behind him.

Really, with todays technology, there should be dash board, line of sight, line of tazer vid, hell the cameras are small enough, along with a live feed of audio from the mic, 911 operator and man on the street. The tech is all there . More info right. If there is nothing to hide then show it.

I think everyone would be saying a lot of different things if the guy would have crashed his motorcycle and killed some person. I think the situation was handled accordingly. The guy on the motorcycle was riding wrecklessly and could have seriously injured someone or killed another person. Somewhere here in the forums, there is a video of a motorcyclist doing a canyon run and drifted onto the other lane and crashed into another motorcycle. If cops don't take things seriously, this will continue to happen. I am willing to bet, that the guy has learned a lesson that he will not soon forget. I think if I was the person inside one of the cars that person was passing by with his motorcycle, I would be happy that someone got the maniac out of the road. Just my opinion.

Typical bullshit...that could have been a BAD situation! If I was riding my bike and some dude pulls up next to me and gets out of his car with a gun at his side and I'm packing, there would be a stand off! I would think, He's trying to jack my bike. He should've got out of his car showing a badge not a gun! It was just some guy fucking around on his bike being a dick who deserves a ticket..not a gun in his face! the cop was lucky to go home to his family..of course this is just my opinion..:D

Was it possible that the guy might ram the cop with the bike. I wonder if the cop was thinking that because if the guy decided to ram the bike onto the cop, it's pretty much considered a deadly weapon. If I was a cop, I wouldn't want find out and regret later that I should have had my gun pulled out. You don't get 2nd chances if your dead. Just my opinion if I was on that cop's shoes.

but the cop didn't point it at him. He had it ready just in case. Don't get me wrong, I would be scared to see a gun as well.

if there was a marked car shouldnt that car have had his lights on and pulled the guy over instead of the unmarked car guy....i think the unmarked guy is one of those overly helpful people that just get in the way.

If the patrol car had been chasing him, with lights on and sirens, cars would have cleared the road and moved towards the right as they should. Not one car did so, the biker was not evading the cops. Give him the ticket, and punish the officer. Punish any wrongdoing.

Another thing to consider.....We only get 1 3 min. part of the video. We dont know what happened before. The rider may have been speeding, or trying to elude officers, etc. Im going to keep an eye on how this whole thing unfolds....

ok if the cop was really worried about that do you think the cop would of jumped out infront the bike and grabed the wind screen and stood infront of him so long?

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Cops always stand behind cops, thats why there is Internal Affairs. How does a cop get caught speeding in a completely different state and get out of the ticket?

Ditto, he SHOULD have announced who he was first, but he did NOT aim his weapon at the rider. He was at the ready in the event.

I completely agree. Lets all think Fat guy in the California runaway Prius. The news after was better than the original story.

Maybe I will get a suspension for saying this, but I am FUCKING sick of sport bike riders. They all think they are talented. When they aren't. My wife lost her cousin who thought he was cool and pulled a wheelie and it ended bad, FOR EVERYBODY!! That little prick taped himself crossing 2 lanes of busy road to pull a wheelie. WTF is wrong with him. I watch these pricks pull wheelies down my road ALL summer because we have s-curves at the end and a long open straight after. I live on a 35mph RESIDENTIAL street!!! I am not taking the cops side, but that guy should be charged with something for the video evidence of his immaturity, irresponsibility and his stupidity. What law we got for that?
