Not a Tacoma technically, but this guy and his Toyota truck inspire me. The range officer at a nearby outdoor shooting range has 600,000+ miles on this vehicle and it survived being submerged below the air intake once in a flash flood.

He says the odometer stopped working at 375,000 but he knew his daily commute mileage and continued to faithfully log the miles on paper.

ahhh 1994, the only year with the raised brake light on the back. I miss mine. I got rid of mine in 2010 (way before I even heard of Tacoma World). It was a manual, had 275k on it and was having "transmission issues". Had I known about this site then I may have kept it and tried to fix it. Didn't know any better at the time and got rid of it and got a Matrix

to echo a previous post, until either me or the truck dies. I'm in Texas so the salt that everyone in the north worries about doesn't affect me.

It really does have everything I want in a vehicle. Best purchase I've ever made.

That's the equivalent of shoving your d**k in a blender and holding down the "ICE BREAKER" button.

My first Toyota truck was an 1983 22RE - 4 cyl. Had 415K on the clock when I gave it away. My '87 Accord had 375K on the clock when I also gave it away. My '95 Rodeo was pushing 300K when it too was given away.

I see posts here from folks who have gotten 300K-400K out of their 2nd Tacoma's and I find that to be very impressive as they are loaded with much more electronic gadgetry than the vehicles in the first paragraph.

In the end, trying to speculate how long a vehicle will last is like guesstimating how long a human will live.

    What are you feeding it?

I had 301,000 on my '96 extended cab 4x4 when I traded it in for my current '06. I expect the same or better out of this one.
