The front end hum/growl I am not too concerned with. I will try the drop kit just to see if it relieves some of it but its not my main concern. My dealer today mentioned replacing the diff but I have read where it just comes back after time. What I am concerned about is the long term affect the bad driveline angles could have on my drivetrain. I wanna make every effort to make things as close to "right" as I can. If I can get the numbers right and then theres still a vibe then I will venture into looking into other things as well. Torque specs, tires, wheels and all can have an affect of the same symptoms. Just one step at a time.

Well theres got to be a way to get a lift on a truck without vibes. People have been lifting trucks for decades.

try looking at other peoples builds and see if they have something you don't

That's crazy because his little brother Kaleb was over at the house last night and said they just put on a Toytec lift on a brand new Tacoma. He said it looks pretty sick.

    Update:

    • Installed diff drop and it cured 99% of the front end vibes.
    • Installed rear shims and high speed vibes decreased a great bit.
    • OME CB Drop has been tried in basic drop and also rotated assembly around 180 degrees. Best solution has been to ditch the CB drop which results in slight start off studder but smoothest ride overall.
As she rides right now, I am A LOT happier than I was. I wish I could eliminate the slight take off shudder, but I can live with what I have for now.

For the takeoff shudder, there is a tsb for the transmission shudder. That might be the issue. I would post a link to it but using the phone to post.

not to beat a dead horse but I had the same issue took the truck had the tires balanced twice had it realigned and finally a road force machine fixed the issue they had to turn to tires on the truck still have a slight vib due to one tire being static balanced but no where near as bad as was as far as viberation when you start to move carrier bearing on drive shaft is what is causing mine i am looking at a one piece driveshift
let you know how it works

I have a 2010 with the OME 886's, LR control arms, Dakar leafs and I have the OME diff drop, 3* shims, Beefed Taco carrier bearing drop. I pretty much have tried every possible combination trying to get rid of the take off vibe and it is better but not gone. It is frustrating but it looks cool:D

I have the same lift and had the same issues. The vibration from the front is probably your front tires. They need a few hundred miles to wear in at the new angles and to allow them to bed in. The tires are notorious for wheel rumble which is the tires biting the road.

The rear end. I got an OME bearing drop and put the shims in and it totally killed the vibrations. Like others have said, give it a few hundred miles and let the parts wear in, you will be surprised what difference it will make.

I've had the Dakar's on for a week so far and I love them. I haven't had the squeaking yet but it is early days. They are alot stiffer than the standard springs and they didn't even move when I put my canopy on the box. The ride is far superior to standard.

All in all very happy. Highly recommended.
