I just wanted to make sure and I contacted Falken and you are right, technical support recommended around 30 psi. Doesn't hurt to double check.

Let us know what you think after you drop pressure and go for a ride.

Bonus points if you take a trip around the block first. Drop pressures. Then take the same trip for a direct comparison.

So let the truck sit for a while before I adjust the psi?

Its dependent on drive distance, and speed...
i forgot the formula for time, but im sure google will help narrow it down.

The more u drive, and the faster, the warmer the tires and the air inside so it expands.

Yeah I am sure it's some derivation of PV = nRT. An increase in temperature is "x" amount in pressure change...and so on haha. Direct relationship between pressure and temperature is all that matters.

Just drop it to 32 and drive the damn thing. Check it tomorrow morning for accurate cold PSI and adjust as needed.

So before actually saying I had the tires at 37 psi, I should have checked what they were actually at...35. Probably due to temperature drop lately, but anyways I dropped it to 32. Not much of difference felt, maybe a little. Ughhh...I thought this was going to be the solution.

I took the smaller leaf out of my 3-leaf with Icon 2.0 and it made a big difference. No overload either.

Wonder how that effected your payload.

Without the overload and with the full 3 leaf mini pack, it's a 10% loss.

Have to figure you're at 15% loss of payload, at least, with that setup.

My kids are still pretty small so I don't worry much about it. It rides much nicer off-road.

I'm going to try putting a zip tie on the shock shaft and hit a few potholes and speed bumps to see how much the rear end is compressing. I might be imagining things.
I should have enough droop too, right? The shocks were meant for 0-1" of lift and technically the truck was only lifted the thickness of the 3 leaf pack minus the overload leaf.

Plus what the leafs added in the arch. My guess is it's 2"-2.5".

    Say what?

1" maximum lift height on the shock and you're running a 1.5"-2" (or more) AAL?

    Marie from Headstrong Off Road:

"Rear shocks work a little differently. When sourcing rear shocks it is recommended to know what the extended and collapsed length of the shock is and how that works with the rear lift you are going with. For example the standard length Fox rear shocks are spec’d out for a 0-1” rear lift. However, you can utilize them for lifts outside of that range. It is how you are achieving lift that largely plays into this. Those shocks will work with an 1.5”-2” add-a-leaf lift because the add-a-leaf is only around 1/4”-3/4” thick but it re-arches the factory pack thus providing that much more lift."

I have 4.5" for compression and 4" available for droop. The shocks seem to be compressing about an 1.5" during daily driving and if I do hit a larger pothole, the suspension certainly does compress more based on the zip tie. I'm sure it's all in my head and I am pretty sure I don't want to constantly hit the bump stumps when traveling at higher speeds off road anyways. For now I'm going to leave it. Maybe an entirely new leaf pack would be beneficial.
