In addition to the great link @mightyprice posted................

After the drum is off you can hose out the remaining bits, and then take pictures. Will help you remember orientation of springs and such as you reassemble.

Only do one side at a time. So if worst comes to worst, you have the other side to look at for comparison, even though it will be a mirror image.

It's not hard. It is dirty. Allow yourself enough time to not feel rushed doing the work, and it should go fine.

And if it's your first time messing with drum brakes, don't get frustrated! Well, get frustrated, but just don't give up. Like Bill said it's not hard but when the springs, etc aren't cooperating it can be a big pain in the ass. But you'll get it done.
Just looked at the write up in that link that mighty shared. Solid write-up there.

If you have a set of vise gribs thatll help with the springs and having the two bolts to take the drums off also.

Sweet! Thanks for all the advice guys! Yea, I've taken the drums off before just to check the shoes, (the 2 bolt trick works great by the way.) I've got over 161,000 miles on those rears now, so they'll be needing to get replaced real soon. I've done rear brakes before, but not on this truck. Doesn't look too hard to do. I also have a special tool to take off the part that holds the pads on, so that should make it easier.

    Thanks again guys!

Oh yeah, you'll be fine. Didn't know you'd messed with drums before.
