    You misunderstood, that's what I did. Removed the swing out which now lives in the shed 99% of the time. But I used that bolt to install a swinging/locking step that I made myself.
    My point was that most of the time the swing out was a PITA trying to use the bed.

    I really like it. Bumper has held up with no problems. Only issue I've ever had was when I installed my LED taillights. One side hoop needed a very slight angle adjustment for getting these particular taillights in without moving the bumper.
