Rear Diff: I need help!

Ok, changing the rear diff fluid is easy, I understand that! Now I need help with one thing. The oil.

I have a 2010 TRD Sport/long bed

I bought 3 quartz redline 75-90
and 4oz LSD additive

I don't understand if I need to put in the LSD additive because the Redline gear oil claims to have it in it's oil already? Im so confused, a little help would be nice thank you

 

Your 2010 should have A-LSD not a mechanical LSD so no additive is needed. LSD additive is so the oil doesn't ruin the clutchpacks in a mechanical LSD.

 

Don't need the additive.

noticed on the 2011's there is not a lsd sticker on the rear diff, thanks for the info!
