rear diff question

    3" pro comp lift
    I called a local off road shop today to get the price of a detroit true track but they said they only offer it up to an 05, mine is an 07 with the regular open differential will the one for the 05 work on my 07 if they are the same size? Also do you order one for the 8" rear end or the 8.4" rear end ?

    thats what i thaught. So why wouldnt they just say they could use that one for the 05 on mine. I mean if it fits use it .
