Rear differential recall.

This is just an FYI. I took my truck in on Sat morning to have them check why the truck feels like it slips backing down the driveway then going into gear, its an auto by the way. They said they couldn't replicate the issue but that there is a recall on the rear differential and that mine was leaking. They said they couldn't release the truck back to me due to safety issues. They said there still isn't a fix for it and they don't know how long it will be. I'm currently driving their rental corolla.

I am so glad I got my 10k service before this recall was announced.

 

I would beat the shit out of that Corolla if I were you. Rentals are the best.

OP - we're just having a little fun here.

The recall was sent out from Toyota on April 27 at 10am to the dealerships to give the dealers the initial heads up, and literally by 10:05am it hit TW. Then independent ground truth verification rolled in shortly after that when a member posted that he was over hearing a manager's meeting regarding the recall while he was waiting on his car at a dealership. Crazy but true.

Good to know it's possible to get a car other than a Yaris

 

Yea it's been a while since I been on here sorry. The dealership doesn't expect the repair kits to be in till mid June. So no truck till then. Oh well sorry guys.

OP - is your SR5 an inferno color? If it is we've got the same truck.
