I'm also having the RR Diff Lock issue of when I have it in L4 and press the button it flashes. I do hear a click that is coming from near the glove box on the passenger side as I press it in and then a single click again when I depress the rear locking differential button. However I do not hear anything coming from underneath the truck like other people are. However, I do hear the electronics and gears doing their thing underneath the truck when I go from H2 to H4 modes. While the differential lock is engaged, I roll forward and in reverse in a straight line while also trying a full left and right turns, both forward and reverse and still can't get it to engage. I am guessing that my actuator has frozen like others have. When it's not freezing balls outside I will have to investigate that on my truck.

I'd have to look at my '15 but my 1st gen has a plunger type switch on top of the axle housing that indicates the position of the internal fork. Basically put, when the locker is engaged the sliding fork contacts the switches' plunger, pushing it up, completing the circuit to illuminate the 'Diff Lock' light. I've had to remove mine more than once to clean the 'crud' out of it, basically a film of gear oil residue preventing the smooth movement of the plunger.

So the switch the connector plugs in to is not removable? The switch the harness plugs in to should thread in to the axle housing. Remove that switch and clean internally.
