Anyone bought a rear bumper from ebay and liked it? How's the quality?

It's not, but there was another thread about an ebay bumper for a gen 3, so now it's fitting there's a gen 1

That’s what I figured. I’d like an off-road style bumper, but they are so pricey. Worth it, I’m sure. Just too rich for my blood right now.

I've been eye-balling the same one. I went with a chrome Amazon (TKY) bumper and have been very happy with the quality but I wish I would have gone with black now. Heck, I think I can sell my chrome for more than the $93 for this bumper.

Do the OEM plastic tops snap right on? Does it have any sub-par quality?

I had a mechanic put my bumper on and it looked like he had to work to get the top on

Thanks for the info. Have you had to paint it? Any close up pics?

Did the black coating seem good? I want it to be black. I don’t mind painting over it, if I need to. Just curious.

My guess is that it’s just primer. Even if you want it to be black, best to paint over it with a black base and then clear. You could maybe get away with spraying clear right over the primer coat. Don’t not paint it though, it will eventually look like shit.

Thanks. I’m going to go with a flat black, so won’t worry about the clear. Definitely will paint it though.

I just swapped in a black bumper on this taco last week. I think it looks cool. Better than before.
I doubt it is the same one as your link though. Another person bought it second hand.

It’s a no name-brand discount car part from ebay.

You can bet it wont fit right and will need a bfh to get it on, and of course paint, and betting it’s thinner/softer material than stock, too.

So you get what you pay for...

Try a wrecking yard, might get a decent one for about the same price.
