I still have the clunk from time to time. Its really random and i don't exactly know what causes it. But I think its the leaf's twisting or spinning at the center, then they hit the limiting straps.

I have the same exact noise, 2015 DCSB with the OEM leaf pack and a toytec add a leaf. The noise activates when I shake the bed from side to side or when the rear axle is in torsion, like going over bumps at an angle or only going over a speed bump with one rear tire. The noise is also repetitive (like a series of steps that winds down, something is definitely wagging). I put a chassis ear sensor on both the leaf packs when I was shaking it and I think the noise was coming from them, I'm going to try loosening and re-tightening everything on the pack this weekend. Last weekend I took off my diamondback, spare tire, and disconnected the lower shock mount bolts so the shocks hung free, and it still made the noise. Will report back if I find anything.

Yeah mine seems to still be a mystery. I think its the leafs twisting and hitting the retainers. But I've just learned to live with it now.

So I ended swapping the packs to Icon RXT’s…noise gone. Once removed, the old ones appeared to be over-greased. About one year ago I added grease between the leaves to get rid of a squeak. While a slight greasing is acceptable on the pads, I was told that over-greasing can allow the leaves to shift side to side. That appears to have been my problem. Not sure if that fits your context or not.

Yeah thats what I sort of figured. I was going to upgrade to the icons too. What are your first impressions? Which configuration did you go with?

IMO, RXT’s are a superior leaf pack than OME. They are a quieter ride, adjustable, and handle varying loads better. I set mine to stage 2, and ,while it’s not a Cadillac ride, it’s comfortable enough when unloaded.
