The rear, also called a "Live" axel, can move from side to side a little bit, and depending on how you were driving, then parked, 1/2" on one side or the other sounds normal.

You got to be kidding? That would be hilarious. My wife would laugh her A off. I've been in the drive way 2 hours measuring the frame, tires, etc.

I am going to run this thing around my field in a little while and see if anything changes.

Since my friend have a body shop, and I talk to him about my Tacoma. At the same time, there is a Tacoma there, and he measure it, it dose have 1/2" different like mind! So I will not worry and think about it too much

Well, I drove it around a while. Unless I've gone crazy, it's only off 1/4 inch now. Maybe it will be dead on tomor when I drive some more.

    Thanks to all.

have someone drive your truck with you behind it.. i bet it looks crooked driving down the road.. same issue happened to me with the TSB springs. Dealer couldnt align it. They ordered new leaves and found out that the centering pin was drilled in the wrong spot..

Hi All, 1st day here and noticed this thread because Im looking at buying a 2015 4 door LB and he said the alignment is perfect. Well. he sent me a copy of alignment and the rear thrust angle is positive .66 left and negative .76 rt side. 1st off, you can NOT do a 4 wheel alignment on a Tacoma. its called a thrust angle alignment so dont let them charge for a 4 wheel. 4 wheel means adj. ft and rear. Thrust means adjusting ONLY the front while referencing the rear centerline or "thrust angle. Remember this. The front tires steer the truck and the rear tires determine what direction it travels. A bad thrust angle will give the appearance of "dog tracking". being able to see all 4 tires while following said vehicle in sever cases. "+or-"0- 12 is good. "+or-".30 is pushing it. I may still buy this truck only because I know how to "fix" thrust angles. Any ways Im rambling on, my .50 cents worth. Looking forward to getting all kinds of Good info from this sight.
