I have a 2002 tacoma V6 TRD that I just installed a 3" lift on. The lift included Bilstein 5100's on the front, 5125's on the rear along with a Toytec AAL. I measured from the ground to the wheel wells and the rear is still 1.5" higher. If the rear was originally 1.75" higher and I added 1.5" with the AAL; that would equal a 3.25" lift in the rear. If you subtract that from the differend in the front and rear after the lift (1.5"), that would equal out to only a 1.75" lift in the front. Could I have done something wrong? Is it because I used the original coil springs that could be worn out?

    Any help would be appreciated!

From the sounds of your set up, you have the 5100's mounted on the stock springs set at 2.5", correct?

If so, then yes, a rake in the front is normal. You can upgrade the springs to say Eibach or OME for example, set the struts at "0" and you'll be pretty much leveled out, if not a little nose high.

I honestly wouldn't think too much about the rake though. If you haul anything of decent weight, it makes it a lot more purposeful having it that way in my mind.

After I installed my OME 881's in the front and the Dakars in the back, I had more of a rake than anticipated. Drove it around for a week or so and the rear settled. Now only a very slight rake exists and that will help when hauling (as stated above). Now show some pics!

If the highest setting on the 5100's is 2.5", then yes. I don't mind a lil' rake, but it looks pretty extreme from the side.

Another question. Is the highest setting on the 5100's the highest of the three rings? Just curious, want to make sure it was done correctly.

I installed an aal and then coils upfront about 8 months later. Now about 11 months after installing the aal it still hasn't settled much and I still have a slight rake. The coils def settled already-. I'm thinking the timbrens may be preserving them but idk. After nearly 6000 miles with 800lbs in the bed and a 1500lb with a trailer I'd have thought they'd have settled.
