So I got a letter in the mail asking for invoices from the dealer that did the work. Should I just respond saying that I did the work? They should be happy it will only cost them $400.

    Same as everybody else...
Well I'm getting new leaf packs, should be at the dealership in about a week or two. I think the dealership is doing good by this recall.
BTW the parking lot next to the service area looked like a used Tacoma parking lot, I counted 6 other Tacos there, most for the recall I'm sure.

Make sure your letter states Toyota has started replacing springs in your area.

    Ok guys,
Taklked to two dealerships today and they are telling me they ordered new leaf springs for my truck but dont know when they are going to be in. Im suppose to go camping next weekend and I haul a 3300lb camper. I dont drive more than 100 miles with it but should I be worried now about the leaf springs giving out. I have never had any problems with the suspension in the 10 years that I have owned it. I looked at them today and other than the usual 10 year old sagging I see nothing wrong with them. I just hauled the camper 50 miles a month ago with no issues. Am I going to die in a fiery cash on Interstate 81 ??? <----- just joking
