Are there any good videos or write ups on how to install (more so wire up) a toyota e-locker on a 04 tacoma? I have the rear axle under the truck but no clue how to wire it up to a switch to make the locker work. Ive been researching for the past 2 hours on many sites and have found nothing

The wiring on the truck's end of the harness might already be there. At least that's what Toyota did with 80 series Land Cruisers. If that is the case, you'd need an switch(OEM would be plug and play) and the connector for the actuator on the rear axle would be tucked away somewhere. I thought I saw a write up or something here on TW. I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks, the whole wiring deal and what plugs in where and what not is so confusing to me. I dont have any wiring yet or a switch, all i got my hands on was the whole new rear axle with the locker. I did find this wire kit but not sure id it would be a simple plug and play type deal. If so i would just buy this- http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/inde...rness-kit-by-low-range-off-road-tdi-elwh.html

If it's as easy as the link appears, I'll be keeping an eye out for an e-locked rear end...

There was just a fella a couple weeks ago on here swapping a complete elock axle under his truck. You dont need the complete oem wiring harness either. Just a switch a bit of wire and (i think) a DPDT(possibly even just a dpdt switch is all that'd be necessary but akways good to have a relay) relay since polarity needs switched to run the actuator for the locker. It really is easy!
