I agree, I ordered mine from wheeler's and i thought the same thing WTF? i must have the wrong shock, i was doing the install at a mod day and nobody batted an eye, it was like 'Bust out the angle grinder and make em fit!"
I ground mine down evenly on both sides, i didn't want the metal shock to touch the metal mount

Called Demello, they told me to call TJM gave me TJM's number.

Called TJM, gave him part number he said that's not their part number.

Explained what was going on, pretty sure he understands.

He doesn't know whats up, told him I would have to trim the bushing to even think about it fitting.

He said well let's not do that, so he got my name number and said he'll dig up some stuff and give me a call right back.....

Sounds like I got the wrong shocks.....

    again

I think I'm really going to tackle a horse...

I got a wrong sleeve for my rear shocks, and just took out a drill and drilled the correct opening. You might just need to grind it down a bit. I've had to cut little bits off of bushings before just to make the shock fit. Or you can try to use a c clamp and press it in?

About to say F it and make them work.

I'm getting annoyed the more I look at it!

The bushings are to big as they stick out AND the bolt hole in the bushing is to big it has to much play in it, so if I did cut down the bushings then the shock mount would still have play in it if I did mount it. Does that make sense?

Kinda annoyed TJM didn't call me back, maybe he lost my number or something I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

    Just called TJM again,

Talked to the same guy. He said he still hasn't heard from their tech guys, they're out on some trip this week or something.

He said he doesn't know why they won't fit as these are popular shocks.

He doesn't want to give me a wrong answer so he's waiting on their phone call this morning.

He sounds sympathetic, he said sorry this happened this is like the worst week for this to happen.

    LOL just my luck.

Well hopefully I get a call back.

    .

Metal cylinder that fits inside the bushing, through which the bolt goes, your shocks may not have them, the other thing is, the bushing would probably compress once in the mount and take up any slack

    No, no sleeve.

Also I thought the same thing, but they can't compress that much.

Once one side compresses it pushes the other bushing out, I thought the same thing.

OK, what i'm saying is that when both sides are compressed into the shackle at the same time, it compresses and takes up that extra space. Hey I just had an idea, normally you don't reuse these, but, do the old bushings and (if there is one), sleeve fit into the new ones? If the old bushings aren't tore up or cracked, just a thought

Negative bushings in old shock are garbaged haha

Although after looking it it, it does look like a sleeve would fit nicely in there....
