Is this wire just a reverse trigger? Can I use it as a 6v to power up the camera?

I've got the BOYO brand camera. Does anyone know if it gets spliced into the wire for the reverse light or does it require constant power?

    TRDsport253,

I believe that wire is +12v whenever you select reverse. Too anyone who may have read my previous post please disregard, I've found the answer.

I just finished up this mod:

2011 Reg Cab 4x4. Prewired for cam, but no cam present. Installed OE cam.

The rest of the work was under the dash. I removed the complete lower dash on the drivers side for easy access. I had to tie into the lower reverse pictured below. (my wire was solid red)

My harnesses looked like the yellow arrow is pointing to, but the one the red arrow is pointing to was completely different, and there weren't any wires to tie into for the reverse trigger.

So I've installed Cruise, and now this back up cam connected to my Pioneer AVIC-Z930BT.

Just need to find a speed sensor wire to tie into my headunit for the GPS.
