How much will a rebuilt title take down the resale on my 2001 2.4l 5lug? It currently has just under 100,000 and no issues whatsoever. I purchased it for $4800 with the rebuilt title. I have done a bit of work to it replacing the door handle, grill, stereo, speakers, fuel pump, etc, etc, etc. What do you think I could sell it for?

I was planning on including them with the original post but my internet just wouldn’t allow it

It’s a lot better than a salvage title, but it carries about the same price. I’ve seen salvage 5-lugs in terrible shape and 300,000 miles sell for, the least, at around $1,000. My 5-lug v6 with 450k miles has a KBB value of $3,000 for some weird reason.

This is speaking from a California/PNW perspective. Cali trucks hold a premium.

Probably 4-8$ is my guess based off the condition of your truck and the wheels and camper.

I think the standard is to take 20-40% off of the KBB price for slavaged titles, im not sure what it is for rebuilt title.

I just kbb your car, not sure what other options you might have on your truck but kbb says 4-6k for a good condition car with a clean title

KBB, while it does give a good starting point, is fairly useless in the end because IMO it doesn't really take into account regional differences and high demand vehicles (like 1st gens).

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So put it up for sale for $5000, if no takers, it's worth less than that (lower the price). If you get 40 calls a day, it's worth more than that (raise the price)...

Usually around 50% I would say. Rebuilt/salvage etc all the same to most buyers.

    Like, so many.
Any way you could just keep it as a backup vehicle?

It doesn't have to account for anything. It's just a summary of sold vehicles.

I've done a mod or two
Looks nice for a 5lug, I like the Enkei wheels on it too. If it were me knowing what 5 lugs go for around here and knowing that I only care about the vehicle not its title status, maybe 3500-3800. If it doesn't have structural issues thats about the top end for a 2WD minitruck around here.
