Hey guys and gals. My name is Jeff, I picked up my new (to me) '95 Taco today. This is the only pic I've had the chance to snag, but I'm out of school for the summer so I'll get some better pictures tomorrow. I plan on doing a few stupid mods to it. Black out the badges or delete them? Input appreciated. I also want to get rid of the pinstripe on the side. Eventually I want to get rid of all the not-black just because almost everything is already black so I might as well go all the way with it, haha. Also, my headlights are REALLY dim. I was coming home tonight in the dark and I had to have my brights on just to get a close to a normal level. My dad said that it might be an alternator belt cause I was getting a squeak on startup and sometimes at idle. Plus, I was thinking about getting some Sylvania Silverstars or Philips Xtra Bright or something along those lines. Any recommendations for this truck? Okay, it's late and I'm blabbing. A phone pic is all I have right now, hope you enjoy.

    Welcome to TW!
As far as the headlights, I have the Silverstars and also did the whole sanding and polishing kit for the headlights and they are pretty bright.
Eventually I'm planning on going with HIDs but the Silverstars are nice.
As far as the badges, if your going all blacked out, I'd lose them and then black out the headlights and those tails. Not sure how it will look with those aftermarket ones it looks like you have on there now.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I've asked around and a lot of people are saying I should delete the badges, but I'm not completely sure yet. Think I'll take them off and paint them black, then see how they look. If I don't like them at least I have the left over paint and I'll spray something else with it. The truck has 187,000 miles on it. The guy I got it from said it came from Nevada. It's really, REALLY clean all over for a '95 with 187 k on it. I got a couple more pics to prove it. They're kinda big, just how they uploaded.

Thanks man. Nah, if this thing goes anywhere vertically, it's going down. Not slammed, just enough to be aggressive.

It's the 2.4 L. Quick update. It was giving me some trouble starting so my dad and I starting poking around and found the distributor cap was pretty worn, as were the spark plugs. Ran to autozone and got that cleared up, it's running a lot smoother now (especially because there were autolite plugs in it..wtf?) Last night I was bored so I called up a friend and we ran to wal-mart and got a can of flat black and a can of gloss black. Today I'll be painting all the trim and decals flat black, and I'll be redoing the wheels in gloss. Look back for pics later tonight.

Cool truck! Black it out for sure! I blacked my front & rear badges and debadged the sides, might work for yours. Tint is a must! And blacked out taillights and running lights look sweet too! Mines all blacked, check it out for some ideas. Anyways good luck with your new truck, yota is the way to go! And you'll appreciate TW I'm sure
