    Hello all
I just noticed my recirculating air button does not work. the light does not light up and the door above the cabin filter does not move nothing happens. this is not on defrost mode is there a fuse that may be bad or what would cause this?
    thx

The little electric motor might have burnt out.

    update
i removed the servo and the mechanism would not turn so i tool the motor apart no stripped gears, put it back together and can now turn it by hand so i hooked it back up to the truck and it just spins continually forcing the arm to outside air because that is as far as it can turn. the light for recirc air still does not light up and does nothing it does not stop the motor from turning so is it a defective part or what ever sends the signal?

    Update
I found the troubleshooting guide and checked the servo motor with a battery it spins clockwise and when polarity reverses from pressing ac recirc button it spins counter clockwise opening blend door. Servo motor works. The problem is the recirc button does not work. It dose not light up or reverse the polarity. Weird. Any suggestions?

If the motor works the next unit back would be the AC Amplifier which actually controls the motor.

I'm not saying that it couldn't be the AC Control. The AC Control sends a signal for either Fresh or Recirc air to the AC Amplifier which actually controls the motor.

You can see that the Recirc Defrost signal is the Lavender Wire with a White Stripe and the Green Wire with a Black Stripe. both going to the AC Amplifier.

Well, it would have been nice to know you modded the controls before... :(

    Anyway glad you got it.

Yes I could not remember if the rc air button worked before that but I should have mentioned.
