You ever done any wheeling before or is the taco your first taste of 4x4?

 

I'm actually a desert rat, love the sand. Family has a Long Travel dune buggy with an Acura V6 in it. Also been riding ATVs my entire life. Currently own an 06 YFZ450.
Truck-wise I actually had an 02 Prerunner before I traded it for the 15 with 285k miles. I used to do some mild wheeling in that. Had 33s and a 3 inch spacer lift on it, thing ran like a champ.

 

nice. been trying to get out to a proper desert to do some motorsports for some time now.. Grew up on dirt & then got into road racing sport bikes. Did some light wheeling in my old Lexus SUV & got this taco last year, loving it so far. Great trucks! I'll have to make it out to Cali sometime, all the desert pics i see from there look sick

Color me stupid, but i've never known why desert vehicles always have the little flags, anyone?

It is actually a law here in CA. You have to have them on in the desert or its a ticket. It is indeed so you can see and be seen coming over dunes and hills. They actually really help. Part of the reason I'm having flag mounts built, for future desert use
