Looking at getting a new set of tires. I currently have the BF Goodrich TA KO (purchased in 2009 and have 100k miles on them, dont drive that many miles a yr). I looked at the new BF Goodrich TA KO2 and the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Big price difference. I'm mainly looking for a quiet AT and somewhat comfortable. I only go off road for hiking or camping (mostly gravel FSR sometimes dirt roads). I will be towing a pop up trailer off and on as well. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We ran Toyo AT2 on our work trucks and they didn't last long (no towing involved). I guess I should've added in my post I'm looking for a somewhat aggressive look to them as well.

Cooper st maxx then. Aggressive with excellent on road manners in all conditions, and last awhile

Both of those are excellent suggestions. Get the best you can afford. I would recommend Michelin.

I am changing street tires on my truck. Wanted a at tire for a little extra traction for those muddy road days but a tire that would live 95% on the interstate. After reading all the reviews on here my brain could handle i narrowed it down to the cooper 4s and falken at3w. Couldn't close on either. Talked to my local dealer. He ordered both for me. Going to roll them out to the truck and let looks break the tie. Let you know Saturday. Can't see being wrong with either.

We faced the same decision between the same two tires back a few months ago. Opted for the Falken ATW3's and haven't looked back. They've handled all we've thrown at them (dry, wet, snow, ice, mud, off-road) with no complaints. Our's are 265 65 17 116t (made in USA). 20181221_084228.jpg

    Do seat covers count?
Cooper Discoverer AT3's, Cooper ST Maxx (more aggressive), and Falken Wildpeaks. No K02's, every time I see a set I get triggered like the Gamestop guy that wants to be called ma'am :D. I just feel theres a lot better tire for the money, I'ved owned 2 sets and had nothing but problems with them dry rotting after they were a few years old.

A lot of good recommendations including the Falken Wildpeak AT3W, Cooper ST Maxx and the Cooper AT3 4S depending on what characteristics you are looking for in your next tire. let us know if we can help with your selection.

Are the Falken Wildpeak AT3W quiet?

wow iv had mine for 25k so far and im weighted with habitat and camping gear most of the miles. again im runnin load range e so that prob make the difference. may go to geolanders next, less aggressive, lighter, and i hope better mpg. Thats a way off i still have tons of life in toyos.

    Like, so many.
Let me add Nitto Terra Grappler G2 to the list. Very quiet and stable on road and they never let down off roading.

I have KO2s now, second set and wouldn't hesitate getting them again, I'd go Coopers before the falkens if I was trying something else.

Yup so far... very quiet compared to the Cooper AT3's they replaced.... And no noticiable change in MPG as well.

Thank you! I'm definitely considering them. The BF Goodrich are so damn expensive .
