Looking to purchase my first Tacoma, gonna go with the TRD OR Short Bed. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good dealer ship in the Sacramento area? Or was thinking about using the costco program. Thanks.

It's all hit and miss. I heard Roseville Toyota is a great place to buy cars. But shop around and see what all have to offer. End of the month is coming and they will in sell mode now

Whatever I learn from you guys
Find the best price you can online in your region. Then pick your stealership of choice most dealerships will price match it. I found a awesome deals in Southern CA and other dealerships before I bought my truck locally (Carson City, NV) after I told them and and showed the link to the website (Folsom, CA) where I can get it. I told them I'd like to keep the business local but If I can save a $$$$ I'm willing to travel. Good luck in your search.

i had a horrible experience yesterday in the area, being lied to straight in the face, repeatedly. left that place, and went to a small mom and pop shop in my vicinity. straight forward, will buy from them. PM me for the name of the sales guys.

    So stock.
I went through Auburn Toyota and it was really good experience. I dealt with their Internet Sales Manager, and did all negotiating/price matching via e-mail so the first time I stepped in the dealership was to pick up my truck when it was delivered. They ordered my truck exactly as I wanted it and I paid $1,000 under invoice (this was last year for a 2017 model). I would recommend them.

I did mine online. Costco put me in touch with Auburn Toyota who was very nice and professional, but at the end of the day Folsom Toyota was just as professional and was able to order the exact truck I wanted at the best price. If your looking for a custom truck the manager at Folsom will get it done.

I started off with the exact same thing with Costco. They put me in touch with Auburn Toyota. Auburn was nice and all, but they dragged their feet at trying to find the exact truck I wanted.

Friend of a friend got me in touch with a guy at Folsom, ordered the truck I wanted, gave me a price more competitive than Costco. I was on the phone with him 10 minutes before I drove over to the dealership the following day. PM me if you want his info.

I've had best luck so far with the consumer reports auto program, I tried costco and they set me up with folsom but their online guys seem pretty awful so far. First truck they showed me wasn't the build I asked for and only 800 less than MSRP. They don't seem to want my business so I might avoid them all together. Hoping to go out to thompson toyota in placerville this weekend, and maybe check out auburn or roseville.

Pro Tip: If you don't like the dealers that costco is sending you to, you can change the zip code search. I did that and had it ultimately get switched to Capitol Toyota down in San Jose. If you're willing to drive, they were great to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the guy I worked with.

You should stop by Yuba City Toyota if it’s not too far from you. I purchased my 2017 Tacoma from them. Overall a good experience and really cool dudes. I went to Maita Toyota when I was first looking to buy and those guys were just d**ks to be honest. Not really wanting to bash on them but if it’ll help you out, it’s as if they just didn’t really want to make a sell or be at work. Maybe because of my age but they weren’t taking me serious lol. Hope your experience is better than mine if you decide to go to Maita

I’ve dealt with Folsom Lake and Maita.

Got the corolla at Folsom, and my ‘97 5 lug, my 04 4x4 doublecab, and my ‘17 4runner from Maita.

I have no loyalty to Maita, they just had what I wanted in stock, lol.

All dealers are hit and miss, and depends mostly on the salesman you get. Most treat their salespeople like crap anyway, so it’s more about who has what you want and are willing to give you the price you want.
