    where in NC? Welcome!

A lot of people including myself like Mobil-1 and an OEM filter. I change every 10,000 miles, oil and filter, everything looks fine.

None that I'm aware of, but after reading the thread that chris4x4 wrote comparing all the different oil filters a while back, its made me want to switch to the Toyota ones.

Check eBay for boxes of 10 filters plus drain plug seals. Good deal!

Most people I know use Mobil 1 full synthetic and I've read threads that our Toyota OEM filters are the best for our trucks. I go on Ebay once every few years and buy like a 6-pack and that lasts me at least a couple years and the prices on them arent bad at all.

Checkout the oil change thread for tricks to drain the oil filter catch. Plastic bottles or nylon hose are popular.

Yea i used a bottle, but I also had a buddy tell me to poke the top of it before you drain the pan and it helps to let the filter fully drain before you unscrew it.. Worked pretty good for me. :D I love my truck lmao...

Just take the filter off, no need to poke it, the drain keeps things clean.
Here's the OEM filter bargain thread http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=241973
