    Hello,
I have a recovery strap and a few d-rings. I remember last winter I was not able to pull a sedan from the snow because d-rings didn't fit the smaller car. I want to buy a recovery hook, but not sure what size I need to look for. Please advise. TIA

what do you mean recovery strap?

Do you mean a tow strap, or a snatch strap? They are two different things.

But it's generally not advisable to put a metal hook on the end of a tow strap. You're unnecessarily adding another heavy projectile.

Safer to use soft shackles like these: https://www.amazon.com/QIQU-Synthetic-Shackle-Recovery-Together/dp/B07DH1V63K/

5/16" will fit most small car tow/tie-down points.

Shoft shakles are definitely a good alternative, but jesus, please tell me you spent more than $12 on critical recovery equipment.

That add speaks good englishes, too.

Please just buy brand name stuff, at least smitybilt, preferably from a reputable off road dealer.
