Red Bullet VVTi Solenoids GB (Primary GB CLOSED)

That’s right, I remember checking them with a 9 volt battery to get the actuator moving - per instructions it doesn’t matter which side you connect the pos or neg wire.

What's the story with the old one?

 

bolt came loose on the tensioner in the pass head. tensioner bounced around make a shit ton of noise and got chewed up by the gears on the cams. its in my build thread

Unfortunately, no but RB hasnt gone radio silent. I've asked for updates and he'll let me know as soon as possible.

I would assume these would work in the 4Runners that the VVTI 4.0, more specifically 2010 and up?

 

These do not work on the 4.0 dual VVTi motors to my knowledge. You would have to determine if they are the same as the single VVTi engines.

 

Forgot about that! There are some other performance stuff that works on the 2G Taco's and not the 5th Gen 4Runner. Kind of a bummer! Seems like it definitely something that is helpful.

 

Quantum makes a set for the dual vvti 1gr. It mostly comes back to bracket that mounts to the engine
