@JustDSM had stellar power gains with the solenoid swap...or you mean just cam gears and headers?

Alright men, been a quiet past few days for obvious reasons. Thank you again for all of your support! I got my new tire on today and I'm set to go. I'll be re- replacing my new solenoids with the old ones for testing purposes. Dyno day goes down tomorrow. During the intermission, I will throw on the new ones once again and we will re-test.

Results will be posted once all of the test data has been obtained so they should be in by or before 1 PM tomorrow.

We (this community) are doing the footwork in conjunction with Red Bullet.

@Torspd @Lucario Runner @12TRDTacoma and I provided the correct factory solenoid for RB to cross-reference to one of their modified solenoids. We then procured a single set to install, datalog, and gather as much data to provide back to Red Bullet to help them launch/market their 1GRFE solenoid segment.

We're a day away from pre/post install dyno results! Thanks Rob!

I can't leave anything well enough alone
I wish there was a way to test valid working oem solenoids back to back with the new ones.... Testing known broken ones as a baseline won't provide any of the data you are after, will it? That is the reason I didn't kick in money to your dyno baseline fund.... I want to know what these things do that a stock working one does not. I haven't seen any of the information on what these solenoids do differently. Sooner VVTI? I doubt that as it is controlled by computer. More Valve timing change than before? I thought that is limited in the cam advancement mechanism as it gets fed the oil through the solenoid. Can anyone explain what these do and how they do it differently than stock? And tighter tolerances on the plunger, cnc machined,,,, yeah ok, whatever - that doesn't make them inherently different or better. How exactly are they getting horsepower or torque gain?

I guess I am looking forward to the results, even though I will question the gains since you are comparing them to something you perceive to be broken.

Oh Race... The OE ones are not broken. They are just shit. That's really all there is to it. My last Dyno I made 305 wheel horsepower with them, does that sound broken to you? Even Justin did not perceive any changes in the logs other then some instances where knock feedback was cleaner, but it was negligible to the point where he left the tune as is.

The issues I have been experiencing with them were more on a driveability factor, not a power delivery factor. They made for a more "wild" 1GR than anything with occasional extended cranking issues. Oh and also trash fuel numbers, and everyone, including you gets potato MPG.
